What did I do?
The aim of this project was to produce a striking packaging design and product identity for Miss Margarita's new retail line, a margarita cocktail in a can. The overall objective was to position Miss Margarita's new product as delicious, authentic, and a household name for Byron locals and young tourists alike.
How did I do it?
This project was completed by engaging in a non-linear design thinking process; I conducted research into the target audiences, ideated and experimented to offer the client a variety of creative directions, and reflected at each stage of the iteration process.
Using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, I completed three distinct drafts of the product design that continually experimented with visual and written language components. A key part of this stage was focusing on developing the brand identity on the can label before applying these elements to the outer packaging design. Given the time constraints of the project, this allowed more freedom to explore new directions and perfect the product's visual identity.
